The Egyptian Football Association decides to postpone the League and Cup
Today, the Egyptian Football Association announced the postponement of the local league matches, with a new schedule to be announced next Sunday.
The Federation stated on its official page on the social networking site "Facebook", that Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee in charge of managing the federation, approved the postponement of the league and cup matches as of the beginning of August.
He added that the federation's Competitions Department was assigned to prepare a new schedule for the remaining stages of the competition, as well as the Egypt Cup, a schedule that will be revealed next Sunday.
The postponement of the Egyptian League competition comes at a time when the Olympic team qualified for the quarter-finals of the football competition at the Olympic Games, which is currently being held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
