Tsukimi Namiki defeated a Brazilian player in the second round of the Tokyo Olympics boxing women's flyweight division and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Tsukimi Namiki played against Brazil's Grazieli de Jesus in the second round on the 29th.



During the meeting from the first round, Namiki saw the opponent's movement and hit an effective punch to advance the match.



After that, they continued to fight each other in close quarters, but Namiki made use of his small footwork to avoid the opponent's counterattack.


Namiki defeated the Brazilian player 5-0 and advanced to the quarterfinals.



The quarterfinals will take place on the 1st of next month and will face Colombian players.


Boxing will not have a bronze medal match, so if Namiki wins the next match, the medal will be confirmed.
