In the first round of the badminton men's singles final tournament, Kanta Tsuneyama, who ranked 13th in the world, missed the quarterfinals after losing to Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Gintin, who ranked 5th in the world.

Tsuneyama lost the first game 18 to 21 and the second game 14 to 21 and lost the straight with a game count of 0 to 2 and was eliminated in the first round.


With this, the Japanese have disappeared from the men's singles.

"I can't keep up with speed and want to make use of this experience."

Tsuneyama recalled, "I couldn't keep up with the speed of my opponent, I couldn't take the initiative, and I was able to proceed with the match in a way that was easy for me to do.



Regarding his first participation in the Olympics, he said, "It wasn't my own strength to set up such a stage this time. I would like to thank the people around me and do my best to make use of this experience."
