The Russian national taekwondo team won the Olympic medal standings in Tokyo ahead of schedule

The Russian team has one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

Maxim Khramtsov won the gold medal in the weight category up to 80 kilograms, Tatiana Minina (up to 57 kg) won silver, and Mikhail Artamonov (up to 58 kg) won the bronze.

Recall that on July 27, Vladislav Larin (over 80 kg) will also fight for gold.

Also, athletes from Korea and Serbia will meet in the decisive bout in the weight category over 67 kg.

Note that the national teams of Italy, USA, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Croatia have one victory each.

Thus, for the first time in history, the Russian national taekwondo team won the medal standings at the Olympic Games.

Earlier it was reported that the injured Khramtsov helped Larin before the fighting at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
