Simone Biles could not be recognized in the team final in gymnastics.
In the first moment of the team final, the star, usually one of the best in the world in jumping, made a mistake in the landing and got a points deduction.
Biles interrupted the competition and left the gym before returning to cheer on her teammates.
"Im so proud"
The Russian team won and the USA won the silver medal.
"I am so proud of these girls.
You girls are incredibly brave and talented ", Biles writes on Instagram together with a picture of himself and teammates Jordan Chiles, Grace McCallum and Sunisa Lee.
Take it day by day
Biles said after the competition that she feels a lot of pressure to live up to the high expectations she has.
After her introduction, she decided to take a step back in the competition and says that she will take it day by day in the future and focus on her mental health.
The teammates' performance is something she is inspired by.
