In the final of the Tokyo Olympics Canoe Slalom Men's Canadian Single, Takuya Haneda finished in 10th place and did not win medals for the second consecutive tournament.

On the 26th, the fourth day of the Tokyo Olympic Games, the semi-finals and finals of the Canoe Slalom Men's Canadian Single were held at the "Canoe Slalom Center" in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo.

Haneda, who has participated in the Olympic Games for four consecutive tournaments, won the bronze medal at the previous Rio de Janeiro Games, and is aiming to win the medal for the second consecutive tournament, passed the semifinals in 10th place and entered the final.

The competition was contested in ascending order of points, which is the sum of time and penalty, and the final was held on the same course as the semi-finals.

Haneda manipulated the paddle powerfully and advanced faster than the semi-finals, but he was penalized by touching the gate twice and finished 10th with 109.30 points, not winning medals for the second consecutive tournament.

In the canoe slalom men's Canadian single, the gold medal was Benjamin Saushek from Slovenia, the silver medal was Lucash Rohan from the Czech Republic, and the bronze medal was Gidelis Taziadiz from Germany.
