Far from the bombast of previous editions, the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games, refined and touching, officially launched this Friday extraordinary Olympics, with Naomi Osaka as the last relay and caregivers in the spotlight. 

“I declare the Tokyo Games open,” solemnly declared the Emperor of Japan Naruhito, in the words of the time and impatiently awaited by the sports movement since Tokyo was designated host city of the 2020 Olympics in September 2013. Among the small thousand privileged present, the French President Emmanuel Macron and the First Lady of the United States Jill Biden who followed the parade of 206 delegations lined up for the first time and for the very large majority as now authorized by the IOC behind two doors -flag, a woman and a man.
