The Tokyo Olympic Committee announces the registration of 17 cases of "Corona"

Today, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced the registration of 17 new infections with the Corona virus, including three cases in the Olympic Village.

The organizers said that: "17 new infections with the Corona virus were recorded, bringing the total number of infections until July 23 to 110." 

The statement added, "Among the injuries, 56 are residents of Japan, 54 are foreigners, including 13 athletes, 8 representatives of the media and 1 volunteer." 

"Only 12 live in the Olympic Village out of all the people who have tested positive for the virus," the statement continued.

The games scheduled between July 23 and August 8 of last year were postponed, due to the “Corona” pandemic, and strict health measures were taken in Japan in order to hold the global event scheduled once every four years.
