In the afternoon, a large number of Japanese people took pictures and clocked in in front of the five-ring sign outside the main Olympic stadium.
Earlier news said that the Olympic Organizing Committee initially expected about 10,000 spectators for the opening ceremony, but because the Olympic Games finally decided to hold most of the games empty, about 950 people are currently expected to attend.
