Real Madrid, the Spanish football club, announced that its French striker, Karim Benzema, had contracted the Corona virus.

Today, Benzema arrived at Real Madrid's training headquarters, after the end of his summer vacation, to prepare with his team for the new season, but it was found that he was infected with the new Corona virus.

"Real Madrid Football Club announces that the player Karim Benzema's smear was positive in the test to detect the emerging corona virus," the Royal Club said in a statement posted on its website.

Benzema participated this summer with the French national team in the "Euro 2020" competitions, and scored 4 goals before the "roosters" were eliminated by Switzerland in the round of 16.
