The night before Monday, Swedish time, the men's triathlon will be decided in Tokyo, but it will be without Gabriel Sandör.

Earlier this week, he was informed that an Olympic venue was within reach if there were any offers from any other athlete.

But there has been no rebid and now the deadline is out.

If there is a dropout now, the competitor will not be replaced, SOK's media manager Lars Markusson tells TT.

25-year-old Sandör, who was at the Swedish camp in Fukuoka in Japan, now had to travel home to Sweden again without being allowed to compete.

- Of course it feels really sour, Sandör says to Corren.

Gabriel Sandör, from Ljungsbro in Linköping, has won nine Swedish Championship gold medals and is part of SOK's Top and Talent program and aims further towards the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
