The Angers Labor Council ruled in favor of Cheikh Ndoye on Thursday.

The judges ruled in favor of the current Red Star midfielder, who is waging a legal battle against his former club, Angers SCO.

According to

Le Courrier de l'Ouest

and

Ouest-France

, the SCO will have to compensate its former captain up to 450,000 euros for an abusive breach of contract.

Reality check: in August 2018, the SCO offered Ndoye a contract extension.

Which was to take effect in the summer of 2019 and end in June 2021. Unfortunately, in March 2019, the player injured his knee during a meeting with the Senegalese selection.

On his return from injury in November 2019, the player wanted to be part of the pro group again.

The Angevin club had opposed him an end of inadmissibility.

Ndoye could appeal

The industrial tribunal considered that the contract offered to the player "was worth as a promise of work", as reported by local media.

The former Angers SCO midfielder from 2015 to 2017 had claimed 3 million euros in compensation to compensate for a breach of contract he considered illegitimate.

The court therefore awarded him 450,000 euros.

Cheikh Ndoye could appeal.
