A team of athletes such as the Dutch triathlon who will participate in the Tokyo Olympics arrived in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture, where a preliminary training camp will be held, and a welcome ceremony was held on the 21st.

A total of 12 people, including the Dutch triathlon and marathon swimming team, arrived in Tateyama, the host town, on the 20th.



On the 21st in the city, Mayor Kenichi Kanemaru and Echiko Tamura, a gold medalist for the Montreal Olympics and women's volleyball, welcomed the players.



Then, the players were presented with cheering flags handmade by local junior high school students, such as "Grab your dreams!" And "Please do your best without losing to Corona."



During the training camp until the 29th of this month, the athletes will take measures against infection with the new coronavirus, such as undergoing PCR tests every day.



After the welcome ceremony, Mr. Tamura said, "I think Tateyama is very suitable for outdoor sports. I would like you to get a good medal in the best conditions."
