The 22-year-old Dutch international winger Justin Kluivert has been loaned for one year with an option to buy from AS Roma to OGC Nice, announced the Côte d'Azur club.

He is the son of Patrick Kluivert, one of the legends of the “Oranje”, the Dutch selection, and ephemeral sports director of PSG during the 2016-2017 season.

He is the Aiglons' fourth summer recruit, after another Dutch international winger, Calvin Stengs (AZ Alkmaar), central defender Jean-Clair Todibo (FC Barcelona), and left side Melvin Bard (OL).

The option to buy the player, who is under contract with the Roman club until 2023, would amount to 10 million euros according to several corroborating sources.

Kluivert joined the group on an internship at Divonne-les-Bains just after signing his contract.

Trained at Ajax Amsterdam

Trained at Ajax Amsterdam, Justin Kluivert migrated to Roma in 2019 for a sum estimated at the time at just over 17 million euros.

He has since played 40 Serie A games.

Loaned to Leipzig last season, he played in 19 Bundesliga matches and scored three goals.
