Another confirmed case of Corona 19 at the Tokyo Olympic Athletes' Village.
The Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced today (21st) that one team official staying at the athletes' village in relation to a Czech beach volleyball player who was already infected with Corona 19 was confirmed in the test.
It added that eight additional people were infected, including one foreign athlete staying outside the village and six Japanese residents performing consignment work.
There are 12 Czech team officials and close contacts who were newly confirmed in the village, and they are waiting for additional test results in their respective rooms in the village.
Two people who tested positive were quarantined in a hotel.
Since the 1st of this month, when the Tokyo Organizing Committee counted and announced the number of confirmed cases of Corona 19 in relation to this event, the total number of infected people has risen to 75.
