Two athletes tested positive for

Covid-19

for the first time at

the Tokyo Olympic Village, officials said on Sunday, amid mounting health concerns a few days after the opening of the Games.

The cases were released a day after an unidentified person, who is not an athlete, was the first infected with the

coronavirus

in the village, which will host thousands of athletes during the competition.
