It narrowed directly on the first lap at Silverstone.

Lewis Hamilton tried to get past Max Verstappen on the inside when he hooked in the Dutchman's rear wheel.

Verstappen crashed into the protective barrier, but was able to get out of there by his own machine and then taken to hospital for examination.

The car took a heavy beating and had to be transported from there.

Hamilton survived unscathed, but was punished with a ten-second extra time when the race resumed.

Despite this, he won the race and had to celebrate at home.

One who did not appreciate the scenes of joy was Verstappen.

"Seeing the celebration while I am still in the hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike," he wrote on Twitter.

"I'm glad I'm okay.

Very disappointed to be knocked out this way.

The punishment given does not help us and is not fair given the dangerous maneuver Lewis made on the track ".
