Elfsborg has got off to a great start after the Allsvenskan break.

On Saturday night, the team's third straight victory came in July when they beat Östersund at home.

Elfsborg's first goal was delayed until the final minutes of the first half.

Leo Väisänen reached Robert Gojani with a deep lead ball from his own half.

28-year-old Gojani took the ball down and poked in 1-0 to Borås.

- Leo has a nice foot and I get it perfectly.

Nice that we lead this match, the goal scorer told Discovery + at half time.

After 53 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Patrick Kpozo to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors.

Östersund's loss suite extended

With 20 minutes left in the game, however, came the home team's expansion.

That when Jeppe Okkel's shot, via an Östersund leg, looked in behind Aly Keita in the guests' goal.

In the 96th minute, a third Elfsborg goal also came.

The goal, which was noted as an own goal, was also the last of the match.

Thus, Elfsborg (22) climbs to a second place in the Allsvenskan, but with more matches played than both third Djurgården (21) and fourth IFK Norrköping (17).

Östersund now has seven losses in the last eight matches.

- It does not feel good, but we have good harmony, says Östersund's coach Amir Azrafshan.
