It was difficult conditions when the World Cup series in speedway continued in Prague on Saturday.

It rained from the start on the Marketabanan and it increased more and more the longer the competition went.

After the eleventh heat, the competition was canceled.

After a break of about half an hour, race director Phil Morris announced that the race had to be postponed.

- If there had been a gap with better weather tonight, we would have continued.

But it does not work.

Safety is the most important thing.

Right now it is dangerous, he says in Viaplay's broadcast.

The competition will start at 13.00 on Sunday.

All the day's results are reset and the competition starts again from heat one.

Swedish Fredrik Lindgren was in a good position after the heats that were run on Saturday.

He won his first heat and came second in the second and third and had thus run in seven points, which meant that he was in shared second place.

Lindgren reached the final in Friday's World Cup premiere but was eliminated after running into the tape.
