NC Soft CEO Kim Taek-jin issued an apology on the 16th, saying, "I would like to apologize on behalf of the club with a heavy heart."



He added that he was unable to speak directly due to the severe COVID-19 situation and would instead write an apology.



CEO Kim explained that the NC players were confirmed to be having a private meeting at the dormitory, and the league was suspended in the aftermath, causing confusion to the quarantine authorities and the club's inadequate response. "The final responsibility for the situation rests with me, the owner." said.



"I apologize to all baseball fans who must have felt disappointed with me and the club, other club officials, and quarantine officials suffering from the heat wave."



"More than anything else, I sincerely apologize to everyone for causing a social scandal at the baseball team, which should give everyone joy in difficult and difficult situations."



CEO Kim emphasized, "As the owner of the club, I will take responsibility for this situation and take all measures to restore trust."

He said, "I will thoroughly check whether the principles and values ​​to be observed in the course of the club operation have been properly implemented and come up with improvement measures."



CEO Kim concluded his apology by bowing his head once again and apologizing, saying, "I will try to be reborn as a better club and receive your forgiveness and love while taking into account the various opinions of our club one by one."



Hwang Soon-hyeon, the head of the NC team, resigned after taking responsibility for the incident.



CEO Hwang said, "I sincerely apologize for the damage caused to baseball fans and the KBO League due to the scandal caused by the players in the club and the waves that it caused." He added, "NC Dinos will be reborn as a club loved by fans again. I hope that the club officials and players will work together to make this possible.”



Seo Bong-gyu, head of NCsoft's ethics management department, was appointed as the new acting representative.



Acting representative Seo leads the club until a new representative is decided by the board of directors.



Seo, who has a background as a prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office, the 6th criminal division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, the head of the Pohang branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office, and the Jeonju branch of the Gwangju High Prosecutors' Office, has worked as the head of the ethics management office of NCsoft since February of this year.



Acting representative Seo said, "The goal is to restore the trust of baseball fans and become a club that is loved again." He said, "I will go back to the beginning and work hard for the stability of the club while remembering the principles and values ​​of the Dinos."



Director Bae Seok-hyeon assumes responsibility and resigns from his duties. Instead of Kim Jong-moon, who is currently on suspension, Lim Seon-nam, the data team leader, will act as the acting leader.
