Lotte Giants rookie pitcher Kim Jin-wook embarked on 'Kim Kyung-moon' in place of NC Dinos infielder Park Min-woo, who returned the Taegeuk mark due to a drinking party at an away dormitory and controversy over violating quarantine rules.

The KBO announced on the 15th that Lotte left-handed pitcher Kim Jin-wook was added to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic baseball team.

The national team technical committee, national team manager Kim Kyung-moon, and coaching staff discussed additional starting players after infielder Park Min-woo left the national team on the 14th.

As a result of the discussion, Jinwook Kim was selected from the pre-registration list (154 players) submitted by the KBO to the Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) on March 19th.

The replacement list will be submitted to the Korea Sports Association through KBSA.

The Tokyo Olympic team consists of 24 players, including 11 pitchers, 2 catchers, 7 infielders, and 4 outfielders.

The national team will hold their first call-up training at Gocheok Sky Dome on the afternoon of the 17th.
