A pair of Nao Hibino and Makoto Ninomiya will be newly represented in the women's doubles of tennis at the Tokyo Olympics.

The right to participate in the Tokyo Olympics doubles will be given to pairs who have indicated their intention to enter from each country and region based on the world ranking dated 14th last month.



According to the Japan Tennis Association, the International Tennis Federation has announced that it has acquired the right to participate in the pair of Hibino and Ninomiya.



Hibino will be the representative following the singles, and Ninomiya will be participating in the Olympics for the first time.



A pair of Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara has already been represented in the women's doubles.
