According to him, many agree with the thesis that the algorithm for selecting players for the national team and the system of their training do not correspond to the country's sports potential.
“In this regard, I ask you to explore the possibility of forming a new composition of the national team based on the selection of candidates across the country from non-professional teams and leagues.
It is possible that it would be advisable to conduct an all-Russian selection of players by holding a separate championship.
Having recruited a new team of talents, we will be able to prepare a strong team for the next European Championship and take the well-deserved first place, ”the appeal says.
On July 8, the Russian Football Union announced the termination of the contract with Stanislav Cherchesov, who coached the national team from 2016 to 2021.
At the 2020 European Championships, the Russian national team took the last place in the group B standings and could not reach the playoffs.
