For the first time in Yamanashi Prefecture as an overseas national team for the Tokyo Olympics, the French women's rugby national team arrived in Fujiyoshida City, where a preliminary training camp will be held on the early morning of the 12th.

A total of 22 players and staff from the French sevens rugby women's national team, which will hold a preliminary training camp in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, arrived at Haneda Airport on the evening of the 11th and quarantined them before the morning of the 12th. After midnight, I arrived at Fujiyoshida City, the host town where the pre-camp was held, by bus.

As it was late at night, the players entered the hotel while only the city officials were welcoming them.

Toshimitsu Kayanuma, director of the Fujiyoshida City International Sports Tournament Campsite Attraction Promotion Office, said, "I am relieved that all of them were negative in the quarantine. I would like to support them so that they can win the gold medal."

In addition, on the morning of the 12th, a welcome banner was hung on the government building at Fujiyoshida City Hall, and staff members wore polo shirts to support the French national team and prepared a disinfectant solution with a portrait of the French national team player. Was exciting.

The athletes are scheduled to hold a pre-camp in Fujiyoshida City until the 26th of this month, and during the period, they will undergo a PCR test every day, and in principle, their actions will be limited to the round trip between the practice venue and the hotel where they are staying, but they applied in advance. It means that public practice for people is planned.

A male employee said, "I feel like it's finally the Olympics. I hope we can convey our thoughts."
