Here we are, with some bad news to begin with.

Nacer Bouhanni, dropped from the start of the stage, brought down.

He hasn't recovered from his bad fall two days ago.

There are no longer three Arkea riders in the peloton ...

Hello family, our little early summary of the stage to make you wait a bit

After a beating start where everyone tries to take advantage of the climb to escape, the sprinters go on strike and take the rhythm of a cyclist. The traditional group of second knife mingles with a few advertising escapes and takes three short minutes, before being rolled over by the yellow jersey group reduced to forty units. When crossing the border, there are already hardly any more than candidates for final victory. Guillaume Martin is not one of them, too affected by his efforts the day before.

In Pas-de-la-Case, while Thomas Voeckler has stopped the bike to take 3 cartridges and two bottles of Suze, Alaf 'does honor to his resident status and places a firecracker. Picked up a few kilometers further by what remains of the Ineos, UAE and Jumbo trains, he stops in front of Marion's camper van to give her son a kiss. In the last ascent, only four men remain: Pogacar, Gaudu, Vingegaard and Carapaz. The lack of oxygen benefits the Colombian, the only one not to choke before diving towards Andorra la Vella.

Will Pogaçar show the same signs of weakness as in Ventoux?

Will Martin have the legs to keep his place on the podium at least this Sunday?

Will Cavendish return on time?

After a week between dog and chariot, where the layout did not favor great designs in the general but continued to wring out a peloton cut down by more than 30 riders, the Tour found the very high peaks at 2000m of attitude.

We are waiting to see if the Slovenian leader is as comfortable as in the Alps, while his lead in the general standings should allow him to come.
