Al-Ain Club announced yesterday that it has signed the Saudi youth team playmaker Christian Guanca for one season on loan, thus making Guanca the first "leader" deal from foreign players.

Al Ain had signed Ivory Coast defender Kwame Otun, who came from Khor Fakkan, along with Bani Yas player Sultan Al Shamsi.

"I am very happy to join one of the biggest clubs in the Asian continent, and I am well aware of what is required of me, along with my colleagues, to defend the Al Ain logo during the new challenge journey, to make the fans happy," Guanca told Al Ain Club's official website.

He added: "I thank the management of Al Ain and coach Sergey Rebrov, for their trust in me, my desire to join Al Ain was great, and I can not fail to thank the Saudi Youth Administration, for the professionalism of dealing during the negotiation stage, until the completion of the procedures for my transfer to Al Ain."

Guanca enjoys high skill and shooting accuracy, occupies the position of the playmaker, and is good at playing in a position, and joined several clubs before moving to Al-Ain, namely: Argentine Chacarita, Argentine Colon, Ecuadorian Emelec, Turkish Qasim Pasha, Al-Ittifaq and Al-Shabab Saudis.
