The torch relay was held on public roads in most areas due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and on the 10th of the second day, a ceremony was held to light the torch at the venue in Hachioji City.

The final relay of the Tokyo Olympic Games, which went around the country, was scheduled to take place from the 9th to the 15th in the host city of Tokyo, but it was canceled on public roads except for the islands.

On the 9th of the second day, a ceremony was held at Fujimori Park in Hachioji City, where the runners who were supposed to run had a "torch kiss" to connect with the torch.

At the venue, runners who were planning to run in a total of 4 cities, Tama City, Hino City, Akishima City, and Hachioji City, participated in a "torch kiss" and took a commemorative photo in their own pose.

Among the runners, Soto Mukaiyama (20), a university student in Tama City, said, "I was a little nervous because I ran for the first time as a runner who was planning to run in Tama City. I felt the importance and was able to run while expressing my gratitude to the people around me on a daily basis. "

The torch relay in Tokyo will have a ceremony in Mizuho Town on the 11th, the third day.
