Competition for Steve Mandanda.Olympique de Marseille and AS Roma have reached an agreement on the loan of goalkeeper Pau Lopez for the next season, 2021/2022.
"With the option for the final transfer of the player to Olympique de Marseille from the 2022/2023 season," said the club in a press release.
Pau Lopez will now be able to negotiate the conditions of his contract with OM.
He is the sixth summer rookie for the Olympians, the first as a goalkeeper.
Pablo Longoria, the president of OM, had announced that he wanted to compete with Steve Mandanda for next season.
