Another anonymous letter has been received by the ethics committee of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

He asks to deal with the behavior of Ingo Weiss, the President of the German Basketball Federation and spokesman for the professional associations.

Weiss is accused of having himself outfitted with the official clothing of the Olympic team and on this occasion, in Hamburg, “treated several young volunteers unreasonably and put them under psychological pressure and yelled at them”.

Young girls burst into tears.

    Weiss shared the letter, which was signed with "The DOSB's staff" and which the commission had sent to him, in the speaker group and will also make his reply available to the commission headed by Thomas de Maizière.

    "There is nothing to it," Weiss told the FAZ: "I was zero emotional."

    He had himself dressed in Hamburg because the President and CEO of the DOSB had welcomed the fact that he wanted to appear as Team D ambassador during his stay in Tokyo.

    In Hamburg only had to be clarified whether the clothes could be sent to him.

    He called the allegations "lies, defamation and malicious".

    Weiss is also accused in the letter of having tried to revise the recommendation of the ethics committee in the matter of DOSB President Alfons Hörmann - “a culture of fear” - and to hold a vote of confidence in September instead of new elections in December;

    He has not admitted this to this day.

    Weiss took this position publicly in June, also to the FAZ

    It should be checked whether Weiss can remain spokesman for the leading associations and apply for an office in the future DOSB Presidium.

    Weiss on this: He is not planning to apply for such an office.

    He takes the anonymous allegations as an occasion for the prognosis: "If you continue to treat each other like this, sport will no longer find volunteers."
