The British authorities have authorized the arrival of 1,000 supporters from Italy for the final of the Euro, Sunday evening in London.

The tifosi will not have to submit to a quarantine but they will be strictly supervised and will only stay on site for about 12 hours.

Up to 1,000 supporters from Italy will be able to attend the Euro final in London on Sunday, under an agreement with the British authorities and on condition of respecting a quarantine on return, the Italian Football Federation announced on Wednesday. .

In Italy's two previous matches at Wembley, in the round of 16 and then in the semi-finals, the arrival of supporters from abroad had been made almost impossible by the obligation of quarantine in the United Kingdom in the framework of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

A PCR test before and after their departure from Italy, then quarantine of five days when returning to the country

For the final, "the British authorities have guaranteed a maximum of 1,000 people from Italy the possibility of going to London, with a series of obligations to be respected" but without quarantine in the United Kingdom, indicates the Italian Federation (FIGC) in a press release.

These supporters will arrive in London (from Rome and Milan) shortly before the match and will not stay there for more than 12 hours.

They will use dedicated flights and transport organized directly by the FIGC.

And, in the stadium, they will be located in a specific sector to "guarantee the security bubble", details the Federation.

Before leaving Italy, they will have to undergo a PCR test and, on return, a mandatory five-day quarantine at home, a rule imposed in Italy on all travelers arriving from the UK.

6,500 tickets for Italian supporters residing in the UK

For these fans motivated to support the Nazionale, in search of a second European coronation after that of 1968, it will cost 610 euros per person for the flight and 95 euros for the match ticket, further specifies the Federation.

Volunteers must make themselves known by 11am Thursday morning.

As for the semi-final won on Tuesday against Spain (1-1 ap, 4-2 tab), the Italian Federation should also have a quota of around 6,500 tickets which will be reserved for Italian supporters residing in the United Kingdom.
