Alexandra Edebo barely managed to recover from the concussion she suffered just before Christmas and took part in the home World Cup in Idre.

But during the championship she crashed twice and the season was over.

In an interview with Dalarnas Tidningar, the 25-year-old now says that there were thoughts of giving up his skicross career.

- Injuring oneself like this has definitely given me some food for thought.

It is very difficult when one's passion hurts one.

I do not think it would have been very smart if you had not asked yourself the question "should I really do this?".

But then you have to make a decision if it's worth it.

Should one let fear drive one's life forward?

"Wanted to give up several times"

- I wanted to give up several times, but I did not do it because I wanted to continue to push myself and see it as something positive even if it was tough.

Ten percent of life is what happens to one and 90 percent is about how one reacts from it.

Now, about six months after the concussion, Edebo is largely completely restored.

She says that she is back at the gym and trains several times a day.

The hope is that she will be ready for competition when the World Cup season starts in December.

"Chance to win a medal in the Olympics"

And the 25-year-old, who took his first WC victory last year, has high goals ahead of the season's highlight: the Olympics in February.

- I actually think I have a chance to win a medal in the Olympics.

This is something I always aim for.

It's a dream since I was little to take a medal there.
