Denmark international Christian Eriksen, who suffered cardiac arrest in his Euro football opening game against Finland, appeared alongside a young fan on Saturday who posted the photo to his Instagram account. While the player seems to be recovering little by little, Denmark continues its epic at the Euro.

Released from Copenhagen hospital on June 18, where he had remained for nearly a week after suffering a cardiac arrest in the middle of a Euro match, Christian Eriksen is getting better.

The Danish midfielder appeared in public on Saturday during a walk in the seaside resort of Tisvilde, near Copenhagen, reports the sports daily

This moment was captured by a young Danish fan, Björn Bindzus, who took a photo with the football star and posted it on his Instagram account.

Denmark continues its epic for Eriksen

In the photo, Christian Eriksen appears smiling.

Something to reassure all football fans for whom the emotion had been great when Christian Eriksen had remained inanimate for long minutes on the lawn during his team's first match in the competition against Finland (1-0 defeat).

There is no doubt that the smile will not have left the face of the Inter Milan player the rest of his day.

And for good reason: in the evening, his teammates continued their journey by qualifying for the semi-finals of the Euro thanks to their success against the Czech Republic (2-1).

The captain's tribute to Eriksen

"It's huge. It's crazy. We had a goal, when we came here: that is to come back to go to Wembley. But I would be lying to say that it leaves us insensitive all that," said the captain of Denmark, Simon Kjaer, at the end of this meeting, at the microphone of Danish television. Before very quickly alluding to his recovering ex-teammate: "That Christian is doing well means that we can continue to push. He knows that we are playing for him".
