In the previous round, the world n ° 24 had eliminated the American Venus Williams, five times titled on the British turf (2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008).
"I've received a lot of messages and I know a lot of people are watching me, especially young people. I hope I can inspire them and play with them on the court one day. Having said that, I don't want to stop there. This is not the end of the tournament, "said

Venus Williams, his second-round victim, endorsed this premonition.
"We are going to see a whole generation of women from North Africa land on the tennis circuit. And it is to her (Ons Jabeur, editor's note) that we will have to," she said.
In the next round, Monday July 5, Ons Jabeur will face the world n ° 9, the Polish Iga Swiatek, titled at Roland-Garros in October 2020.
