Former Werder Bremen defender Niklas Moisander has wanted to move to Sweden.

Since then, he has been rumored to several clubs.

And now he has signed for Malmö FF.

- I am very happy and grateful that I get this chance to play in Malmö FF, which for me is the biggest team in Sweden.

I am very motivated to get started and now I am most looking forward to meeting my new teammates and getting to know the city, he says according to Malmö FF's website.

The Finnish midfielder's agreement extends to 2022.

"Played at a high level"

MFF's sports director Daniel Andersson believes that Moisander possesses good leadership qualities, is good in the game building phase and that he will be a cog for the team in both the Allsvenskan and the European Games.

- Niklas has played at a high level for a long time and in addition to being a skilled player, he has accumulated enormous experience during his career, says the sports director.

The 35-year-old has spent the past five years in Germany and Werder Bremen.
