Avenue de la Châtre, in Châteauroux, crowned Mark Cavendish in a massive sprint on Thursday July 1st during the 5th stage.

He beat Jasper Philipsen and Nacer Bouhanni.

During the two previous arrivals at Châteauroux (2008 and 2011), Cavendish had already won. 

On Friday, Tour de France riders will have the right to the longest stage of this edition, 249.1 kilometers between Vierzon (Cher) and Le Creusot (Saône-et-Loire), with the reliefs of the Morvan in the second half of course.
