England qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Football Championship with a 2-0 victory over its rivals Germany, after Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane scored in the second half at Wembley Stadium, today, Tuesday, in the eighth final of the tournament.

England advanced in the 75th minute when Luke Shaw crossed from the left to Sterling, who started the attack and finished it with a simple touch in the net from close range, igniting the enthusiasm of the fans.

Kane scored the second goal in the 86th minute after a cross by substitute Jack Grealish pounced on Kane with a header past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford also did well in stopping an attempt by Timo Werner before blocking a powerful shot from Kai Havertz.

On the other hand, Mats Hummels intervened to deny Kane a goal in the 45th minute.
