The Briton Mark Cavendish won at the finish on the fourth stage of the Tour between Redon and Fougères in Brittany.
The day was marked by the stoppage of the peloton at the start of the race which protested against the dangerousness of the courses and the numerous falls at the start of the Tour.
At the end of a special day on the Tour de France, after the many crashes in recent days, the Briton Mark Cavendish (Deceuninck-Quik Step) won at the end of the suspense the fourth stage of the Tour de France between Redon and Ferns (Ille-et-Vilaine).
