The Japan National Team for the Tokyo Games was announced at the Paralympic Games and Blind Soccer, and Ryo Kawamura, who has been the captain for a long time, was selected.

Blind soccer, which is played by five players per team, is played by four visually impaired players, called field players, who wear eye masks, and the goalkeeper can also serve as a visually impaired player.

On the 29th, the Japan Blind Football Association announced the players who have been nominated for the Japan National Team at the Tokyo Paralympics.

Eight players were selected other than the goalkeeper, including Kawamura, who is the captain of Ace, and Tomonari Kuroda, a veteran who scored goals in two consecutive games at this month's international tournament.

Japan, which is ranked 12th in the world ranking, has decided to participate in the Paralympics for the first time in the host country frame, and the members were selected with reference to the international competition held this month.

Director Toshishi Takada commented, "We have selected members who can maximize their strength as a team to win medals. We hope that they will play with courage and responsibility."

In addition, Captain Kawamura commented, "I was reminded of my determination to challenge the Tokyo Paralympics, and I was relieved. I will do my best to show that Japan will win."

In the future, the unofficially decided athletes will hold training camps and make adjustments for the Paralympic Games.
