The two rounds of the Arabian Gulf League kick off the new season

The UAE Professional League has approved its competition calendar for the next season 2021-2022, as the new season begins with the first round of the Arab Gulf League on August 19 and 20, followed by the second round on 25 and 26 of the same month, before the first gathering of the first team to start the final qualifiers. The agenda for the new season was prepared through several coordination meetings, whether between the joint working team from the Emirates Football Association and the UAE Professional League, or with representatives of professional clubs, in addition to a coordination meeting with representatives of broadcasting channels and rights holders.

In a press statement, the association reiterated the importance of supporting the team's march as a national priority, and in accordance with the goals that the UAE professional football system aspires to be "white" on the continental and global front, before the start of the final qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup next September. As for the rest of the first round of the Arab Gulf League, four rounds will be held in September 2021, with the third round taking place on 10 and 11, the fourth on 16, 17 and 18, and the fifth on 23 and 24, with the sixth round taking place on September 28 and 29.

And during the month of October 2021, two rounds of the Arab Gulf League will be held, following the second gathering of the first team, where the matches of the seventh round will be played on October 21, 22 and 23, and the eighth round on 28 and 29 of the same month.

The matches of the ninth round, scheduled for November 2 and 3, 2021, precede the third gathering of the first team, followed by the matches of the tenth round on November 20 and 21, while the matches of the 11th round will be played on December 25 and 26, 2021, and the 12th round on December 30 and 31, 2021, provided that the first round concludes with the establishment of the round 13 on January 6 and 7, 2022. As for the competitions for the new edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, it will start on October 15 and 16, 2021, while the Arabian Gulf Super Cup match, which brings together Al-Jazira, the Arab Gulf League champion, and Al-Ahly Youth, the champion of the President’s Cup last season, 2020-2021, will be held in January 10, 2022.
