The Board of Directors of the Emirates Cycling Federation, during its periodic meeting, the day before yesterday, chaired by Mansour Bouassiba, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and in the presence of members, set the next date for the extraordinary general assembly meeting on July 11 next.

The meeting dealt with many important topics related to the Federation's activities and programmes, foremost of which is the adoption of the draft statute.

The Council was keen that the new draft of the statute is compatible with the guide to the governance of sports federations, before sending it to the clubs for discussion and approval by the Extraordinary General Assembly that will be held via videoconferencing technology at 5:00 pm next July 11, and the Board of Directors set two systems for the elections of the Federation’s Board of Directors The free election system has limited seats, and the full list system that brings together the president and members.

On the other hand, the council approved all maintenance and renovations of the Zayed Track and the administrative building of the Federation, and it is scheduled to conduct test trials for the track court, to ensure that it conforms to the required international specifications.

The proposal of the committees participating in organizing the second edition of the UAE Local Cycling Tour was also approved, and two models of the new uniforms for the national teams, implemented by one of the companies, were selected to support the union's march through a cooperation and bilateral partnership agreement.
