Fernandinho stays with Manchester City for one more year
Manchester City, the English Premier League champions, announced today that its midfielder and captain Fernandinho, 36, has extended his contract for an additional year. "In my mind and my mind, I feel like I haven't done the work, that's why I decided to stay here for an extra year in order to help the club achieve the goals it set," said the Brazilian, who will remain with his team until 2022.

"Fernandinho's contribution is invaluable. He is a fantastic footballer and one of the best players in the world in his position. He is an exemplary professional," City's Spanish director of football Txiki Begiristian said.
