Ludovit Reis leaves FC Barcelona.

The 21-year-old midfielder will work for Hamburger SV, which plays in the Second Bundesliga.

Reis was already leased by Barcelona to VfL Osnabrück last season, with which he relegated from the Second Bundesliga.

He signed a four-year contract with HSV until mid-2015 and Barcelona have enforced a 25 percent resale rate.

"I'm really happy that the switch has now been made. The fans and Hamburger SV as a whole immediately made me feel good and the conversations were very good and productive. With my aggressive box-to-box style of play, I want to support the team and help the club," Reis says on the HSV website.

Reis started his professional career at FC Groningen in 2017 and made a dream transfer to Barcelona in 2019.

He failed to make his debut in the first team of the Spanish top club and had to be content with matches in Barcelona B.

Reis becomes the fourteenth Dutchman at HSV.

Rick van Drongelen was also active at the illustrious club in the past year, but he is moving to 1. FC Union Berlin this summer.

HSV again failed to return to the Bundesliga.

In March, Reis participated with the Dutch Juniors in the group stage of the European Championship under 21.

Two months later, he was not selected for the knockout phase, because he had to play the play-offs with Osnabrück.

The Dutch Juniors were eliminated by Germany in the semifinals.
