He told "Emirates Today", "The victory of the national team player, Hanan Al-Zeyoudi, with a bronze medal in the Asian Championship, which was held recently in Dubai, is in addition to the technical output provided by the rest of the boxers, reflecting the qualitative shift of Emirati boxing, and promises high medals in the near future." .
He explained, "I recently received the three-star training certificate, which is considered the highest training certificate granted by the International Federation, and it is an important international achievement for the UAE, and I hope it will be well reflected in Emirati boxing because of its importance."
He added: “We have developed a lot during the past four years, in numbers, as we previously had only one men’s team, while today we have teams for youth, youth, cubs and women at all stages, in addition to the presence of seven boxing training centers in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Ajman. Which contributed to the culture of boxing practice, and the expansion of the geographical area to attract boxers of both sexes with high comfort.”
He added: “We advise parents to urge their children to practice sports, including individual ones, to support the national teams in all games and not only in boxing, or the sports that the son sees fit his ambition, which will develop his love for the Emirates, because playing with the team is an important and honor for everyone, and we will be We are ready to accept all the talents for practicing boxing.”
Regarding women's boxing, he said: "We have witnessed a qualitative leap and strong progress, and we have an ambitious team, which is an unprecedented event for Emirati sports and Gulf boxing as well, especially since this was accompanied by winning medals as well."
He continued, "I expect the UAE to win very important medals in the coming years if this level of training is continued, based on the annual stages and the cooperation of government agencies."
