The torch relay in Miyagi Prefecture started at 10 am on the 21st in Yamamoto Town in the southern part of the prefecture, and went north to visit five cities and towns.

The ignition ceremony was attended by runners who were planning to run in the center of Sendai City, where relays on public roads were canceled, as a countermeasure against the infection of the new corona.
And finally, a group runner of 10 people including Mr. Hikaru Yaotome, a member of the popular idol group "Hey! Say!
