European Cup.. Germany star threatened to miss Hungary match

German striker Thomas Muller suffers from a knee injury, which led to his absence from the national team's training on Monday, but the management of the Germans did not confirm what Bild newspaper reported about his absence from Wednesday's match against Hungary at the end of the group stage of the European Football Cup.

"At the time I am talking to you, no decision has been taken regarding his participation in Wednesday's match," German national team spokesman Jens Greitner said, noting that he suffers from a knee joint injury.

The Bayern Munich player was injured in the last minutes of his country's exciting 4-2 victory over Portugal on Saturday.

Defender Mats Hummels and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan both missed training as they stayed at the hotel. Hummels was discharged about an hour later with a patella tendon injury, while Gundogan suffered a blow to his calf.

The team management did not clarify whether they will participate in the match against Hungary.

As for Toni Kroos (fatigue) and Lukas Klostermann (a thigh injury), we also did not train with the group and were satisfied with individual training.

Germany will host Hungary at the Allianz Arena in Munich in the third and final round of Group Six, where all possibilities are still open, while France will meet Portugal in Budapest.
