On the 21st, a meeting will be held by five parties, including the Games Organizing Committee, the government, and the IOC, to discuss the spectators of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

At the meeting, discussions will be held in the direction of including spectators in accordance with the government's event restriction policy, and a conclusion will be drawn on the treatment of spectators.

The Organizing Committee, the government, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the IOC, and the IPC decided to abandon the acceptance of spectators from overseas in March, and will include spectators in the domestic spectators, which has been the focus since then. It is finally adjusted in the direction.

On the 21st, a meeting was held again by the five parties, and after the priority measures such as the declaration of emergency and the prevention of spread were lifted, transitional measures will be taken to limit the number of people to 10,000 within 50% of the capacity. Opinions will be exchanged and conclusions will be drawn around the government's event restriction policy.

On the other hand, volunteers who are experts in controlling the infection of the new coronavirus should hold the Tokyo tournament without spectators last week, and even if spectators are included, stricter standards should be adopted, if there is a sign of the spread of infection. We are submitting recommendations to the government and organizing committees, such as making them unattended.

In response to the proposal, Chairman Hashimoto of the Organizing Committee also mentioned the possibility of switching to a non-audience event depending on the infection situation in the future, and it is expected that adjustments will continue to the end regarding the treatment of spectators.
