Germany won with the manner against Portugal on Saturday in the second day of Group F of Euro 2020 (4-2).

The Mannschaft is relaunched in the race for first place in the group while France conceded a draw in Hungary (1-1).

German collective play shone throughout the match.

The second shock of Group F raised from Euro 2020 has kept its promises.

Shortly after France's disappointing draw against Hungary (1-1), Germany won over Portugal by winning 4 goals to 2. The Mannschaft thus returned to the race for first place in the group. F with three points, tied with Portugal and just behind France (four points).

Wednesday against Hungary, the Germans can finish first if they win and if France draws against Portugal.

A crazy match launched by Portugal

The Germans wanted to redeem themselves in front of their audience at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Result: the players of coach Joachim Low won the most prolific match of Euro 2020 against Portugal (4-2). The game started badly for the 2014 world champions, surprised by a well converted counter (15th) by the star of the Seleção das quinas, Cristiano Ronaldo, his 12th goal in the European Championship. The Mannschaft equalized twenty minutes later on a goal that looked like the one it had conceded against the France team. The unfortunate Portuguese Ruben Dias pushed the ball into his own goal (35th), before Raphaël Guereiro imitated him in stride (39th).

On the strength of this advantage at the break, Germany made a strong comeback in the second half.

A high class action from the Germans concluded by the finish of Kai Havertz in front of the Portuguese goals gave more air to the entry Mannschaft (51st).

The German offensive festival continued with a new goal, scored by defender Robin Gosens from the head (60th).

The Portuguese lightened the mark through Diogo Jota who took advantage of a volley from Cristiano Ronaldo (67th).

The rise of the Seleção das quinas did not ultimately continue despite new opportunities, including the heavy strike from Lille Renato Sanches who landed on the post of a motionless Manuel Neuer (79th).

Thanks to this success at home, the Mannschaft is relaunched in Group F of Euro 2020. The Germans come back to Portugal with three points and are only one point behind the French.

Thomas Müller and his partners will face Hungary on Wednesday evening (9 p.m.) to validate a convincing performance.

They will also have the advantage of receiving the Hungarians in Munich, and therefore of not moving into the bubbling Puskas Arena in Budapest where the atmosphere may have destabilized the French players.

On the other hand, it is a stopping blow for Portugal, solid winner of Hungary on the first day (0-3).

Cristiano Ronaldo and his family will try to thwart the plans of the France team on Wednesday night to invite themselves at the top of Group F.
