In the last two weeks, the number of confirmed cases of corona infection has increased from 9,000 per day at the end of May to 13,000 in mid-June throughout Russia, and in major cities such as Moscow and the European Championships organizer St. Petersburg, stricter restrictions have been introduced.

- The corona position is bad.

We see both in St. Petersburg and perhaps above all in Moscow that it is spreading very quickly and very much.

Having 30,000 people gathered, also in the so-called "fan zones", means that there is a risk that the event in St. Petersburg could lead to a much worse situation, says SVT's Russia correspondent Bert Sundström.

"A little disturbing"

But the European Football Championship continues and after the premiere in Seville, Swedish supporters have now taken over St. Petersburg.

- It feels a little worrying that it (the infection) is increasing.

But all Swedes have been tested - I myself am up for the fifth test since last Friday, says Susanne Petersson.

A blue-yellow charge will be arranged at a restaurant near St. Petersburg Stadium.

In addition to making sure that it is a fun and memorable upload for the supporters, there is also another responsibility.

"It is important that we relate to restrictions"

- Our role is to convey information to Swedish supporters and create as good an atmosphere as possible on match day - both inside and outside the arena.

Then it is important that we relate to the restrictions that exist, that we ensure that we get the right information from the city, that we work with the police and the city that arranges.

We still have a good reputation and we will maintain that, says Petersson.

Susanne Petersson believes that there will be around 1,500 Swedish supporters on site when Sweden meets Slovakia in the second group game.

In a normal year, there would have been significantly more.

- I think we would have been 10,000-15,000 Swedish supporters.

It is so close and so easy to get here in ordinary cases, she says.
