What has emerged after SVT Sports' review of the irregularities at the sports high school in Fagersta has provoked strong reactions from both Anna Ekström and Björn Eriksson.

The Minister of Education and the RF chairman discussed at today's meeting how similar situations can be avoided and quality assured for the future.

- Upper secondary school students must be able to be safe and secure in their education.

We agree that it is incredibly important that we take great responsibility in this matter, says Ekström to SVT Sport.

Now there is a proposal from the Ministry of Education out for consultation - as a measure to strengthen the quality of the country's national sports high schools (RIG)

- Everything that has been revealed in the documentary are things that are not allowed.

And things for which there should be rules, and what measures the schools should take.

There is now a proposal out for consultation from the ministry with changes in order to strengthen the quality.

And we have met positive signals in which way we should proceed with them, says Anna Ekström.

"Sports federations must take greater responsibility"

- One thing that is in the proposal is that the various sports federations should take greater responsibility for a sporting quality in the national sports high schools that exist.

It is very important that those who run national sports high schools, and in all high schools in general, are aware that there are no violations, weight or any misconduct whatsoever, says Anna Ekström.

She will also be vigilant about whether similar incidents would occur in the future.

- We will continue to work closely with RF on this issue, and will have continued eyes on this.

The sports federations and national sports high schools must take this very seriously, says Anna Ekström.
