Danish attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, victim of cardiac arrest during the Euro match against Finland, is going to have a defibrillator implanted.

"This device is necessary after a heart attack because of disturbances in the rhythm" of the heart, said the Danish football federation. 

Danish star Christian Eriksen, victim of cardiac arrest when he entered the Euro football competition on Saturday, will have a cardiac defibrillator implanted, the Danish federation announced on Thursday.

"After the various examinations of the heart undergone by Christian it was decided that he should wear a subcutaneous defibrillator", known by the acronym of DAI (automatic implantable defibrillator) indicates the DBU in a press release.

"This device is necessary after a heart attack because of disturbances in the rhythm" of the heart, she says.
